Although denim has become a symbolic staple of American workwear, with a specific association to ranch culture in the American west, denim originated in Nîmes, France. The name denim stems from "de Nîmes" which translates to "from Nîmes" in French. Raw denim will form to you with wear and gain unique character over time.
