High Society Grand OpeningOctober 8, 2025

On October 8th, 2025, we celebrated the grand opening of our new flagship location on Beverly Blvd with friends, family, and like-minded creatives. The opening coincided with Chuseok, the Korean Moon Festival, a holiday that celebrates gratitude, abundance, and togetherness. This timing allowed us to honor our heritage while sharing our vision for the future. Since Richard Lim founded High Society in 1968, we have evolved from a classic bespoke suiting and tailoring atelier to a space where the intersection of art, design, and fashion is celebrated alongside our tailoring roots. Today, we create garments, accessories, and experiences that inspire creativity and innovation in every form.

Cello performance by Hua-Hsuan Tseng and Angela Hsieh.

Over 350 guests joined us for the celebration, including artists, stylists, and cultural tastemakers. The evening, produced in partnership with No Such Agency, featured live performances by Angela Hsieh and Hua-Hsuan Tseng, whose cello and Banhu compositions filled the space with warmth and harmony. Later, a DJ set from Azure energized the room, blending contemporary rhythms with the classical resonance that had carried through the night. Our space provided the perfect setting for guests to fully immerse themselves in the performances or enjoy them from afar, making the evening both intimate and dynamic.

Scallop Aquachiles by Chef Andrew Ponce.

We curated an experience that engaged every sense. Chef Andrew Ponce prepared a menu featuring scallop aguachile and birria de yukgaejang, complemented by desserts from Stephanie Fong, including mooncakes, sable cookies, David’s favorite, and cream puffs. Drinks were provided by Mountain Water, Hana Makgeolli, Yoju, Lunar, Iris, and Heavensake, highlighting a cross-cultural approach to flavor and craft. Guests also explored scent testing and received gifts from D.S. and Durga, alongside our own limited-edition zines and tote bags, created to share a piece of High Society with everyone in attendance.

The opening of our flagship was the result of collaboration and creativity, uniting friends, artists, and innovators to celebrate what High Society has become. The evening highlighted not only our tailoring heritage but also our growth into a space where art, design, and fashion intersect, that inspires imagination and self-expression. With the support of our partners, performers, chefs, and sponsors, we’ve created an immersive celebration that introduced our vision to a wider audience and established High Society as the destination for bespoke services and taloring. This milestone reflects our evolution from a classic bespoke atelier into a multifaceted space that honors our past while embracing the endless possibilities of the future.
